Le Pape François a nommé en mai dernier 3 religieuses comme ‘consulteurs’ du synode des évêques, dont une Française, Sr Nathalie Becquart, ainsi que Sr Maria Luisa Berzosa Gonzalez, religieuse des Filles de Jésus, directrice du mouvement éducatif espagnol Fe e Alegria.
Cette dernière vient de s’illustrer le 15 juin en déclarant au journal Crux que l’ordination des femmes se fera ‘par petits pas’. Extrait de l’article ci-dessous (original en anglais). Bien entendu, personne n’a repris la soeur ‘consulteur’, alors qu’elle attaque ouvertement une ‘vérité qui appartient au dépôt de la foi’. Une véritable honte.
En effet, la lettre apostolique de Jean-Paul II, Ordinatio sacerdotalis, en mai 1994, officialise le fait qu’une femme ne sera jamais ordonnée dans l’Église catholique. Ce texte magistériel du Pape est à l’attention de l’Église universelle, sur un point fondamental de la Foi, et qui ‘appartient au dépôt de la Foi’. En d’autres termes, il jouit de l’infaillibilité pontificale : enseignement définitif et irréformable de la sainte Église. L’ordination d’une femme est donc définitivement impossible. Texte confirmé en mai 2018 par le cardinal Luis Ladaria Ferrer, Préfet de la Congrégation pour la doctrine de la Foi (voir ci-dessous).

Crux : Does that imply that the priesthood should be open to women too?
Sr Maria : “Personally, as the structure is right now, I wouldn’t want for this to be the case. Things would have to change. But I think that if steps are taken, processes are made, responsibilities are assumed, the [ordination of women] can be at the end of this process, without much ado, as a natural progression.
It is true that when I accompany a person spiritually, I can’t hear their confession, and I have to call somebody else to lead the liturgy. And sometimes I wish I was able to do that.” (…)
